Please check with "coredumpctl list" if KWin was the only thing that crashed . I’m waiting for it to happen again I just found out that Kubuntu doesn't have coredump, and when I want to install it, it's asking me to remove apport and apport-kde. I guess you can use apport? I'm not too familiar with Kubuntu, sorry.
