So I discovered this was a problem with NetworkManager not managing this network interface, and I fixed it. Gnome displays a "Device Not Managed", which is more helpful, since you can search for the problem on the web. Would be good to do the same in Plasma. Thanks. Good idea! Bulk transfer as requested in T17796 I've got a setup like this myself now, and the ethernet connection appears in plasma-nm. So it looks like perhaps some upstream change in NetworkManager fixed it. |
