STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. launch for example "writer"
2. quit "writer"
3. go to "recent apps" menu

OBSERVED RESULT

no "writer" item

EXPECTED RESULT

a "writer" item

Another phenomenon.

keepassxc is well added but if you click on it then it is not launched !

From my testing it seems like all apps that are part of the "favorites" in kicker/kickoff are not added to the history

I don't get any "favorites" menu. I don't know this feature ! Furthermore, I have just discovered it with your comment.

"Favorites" is the column of icons on the left

These are the favorites, and Libreoffice Write is one of them

I confirm there is only a problem with "writer", if this is a problem.
