SUMMARY
Google calendar is set up and shows as "Ready" in the settings dialogue. However the calendar is not available to select in the pane on the main page. Needless to say, no Google calendar events show in the calendar.

This has been working fine for many years, I think the last update has caused this.

This might be the source of the problem:

org.kde.kgapi: Bad request, Google replied ' "Contacts API is being deprecated. Migrate to People API to retain programmatic access to Google Contacts. See https://developers.google.com/people/contacts-api-migration." '
org.kde.pim.google: Got error: KGAPI2::ContactsGroupFetchJob(0x55e843f90990) "Bad request."

This appears to be a duplicate of:
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=449024

They have made a bit more progress on that ticket.
