I can reproduce all of those. *** Bug 452217 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** I just checked this in Plasma 5.25.5 and the labels seem consistent now. However, all "Tapping" options are disabled (greyed out) in the "via System Settings in sidebar view mode" scenario, but they are enabled when launching via krunner in icon view mode, so there is clearly still inconsistencies here. Can you reproduce any of them on 5.27? I may be doing it wrong but for me they all seem to produce consistent results now Tested again... The labels of "Two-finger tap" options are "Right-click" and "Middle-click" (both options are greyed out) when I open Touchpad KCM in these ways: 1. by running 'kcmshell5 kcm_touchpad' command, regardless the view mode (icon or sidebar) of System Settings 2. via kickoff or krunner with System Settings is set to sidebar view 3. via System Settings in icon view mode 4. via kickoff or krunner with System Settings in icon view mode Operating System: KDE neon 5.27 KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.105.0 Qt Version: 5.15.9 Graphics Platform: X11 Oh! I was looking at the wrong options :D Can reproduce now. Do any of you have a device which supports two finger input? I do middle-click by tapping with two-fingers. What appears to happen is that the values aren't getting properly initialized so the behavior becomes random because random memory gets read. :| Probably related https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=448953 Cannot reproduce. Operating System: KDE neon Unstable Edition KDE Plasma Version: 5.81.0 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.245.0 Qt Version: 6.6.0 Graphics Platform: Wayland oops, copied system info from clipboard applet saying "Wayland", but it was tested on X11. |
