I have noticed that this happens only sometimes, e.g. mounting my Macbook works as expected, but not using Openssh on Termux. This may be because trying to access the folder `sftp/android.ssh:8022` fails. Can you clarify *exactly* what you're doing when you say that you "Mount a network drive"? Also can you attach a screenshot of VLC's "sftp dialog"? (In reply to Nate Graham from comment #3) > Can you clarify *exactly* what you're doing when you say that you "Mount a > network drive"? > > Also can you attach a screenshot of VLC's "sftp dialog"? I'm entering `sftp://****/path/to/directory` and the screenshot is attached. Created attachment 144583 [details]

I just gave up and went with sshfs. Closing. well, that's not really how this works. A bug is a bug, whether or not you're experiencing it. Is the SFTP share password-protected, or passwordless? If it's passwordless, then this is a known issue. So you access the share from its URL in Dolphin, and then click on the file in Dolphin, and then VLC shows that dialog? .
