For reference, here's the commit that fixes the problem https://invent.kde.org/pim/kdepim-runtime/-/merge_requests/63/diffs?commit_id=f14fabcefb45790175e209ef8ae394def4a805e9 I'm suffering from the same issue. Impressed, though, that a solution already exists, but I have to confess to not being clear on how to use the commit in the link. Are there any instructions on how to do this? And/or will the the solution be in an update in the next few days? Many thanks and regards building https://invent.kde.org/neon/kde/kdepim-runtime/commit/303cec401b504e4f69b211e4035ed1f2486b6a90 https://build.neon.kde.org/view/1%20release%20%E2%9B%B0/job/focal_release_kde_kdepim-runtime/ New build is in, let me know how it goes (In reply to Jonathan Riddell from comment #4) > New build is in, let me know how it goes Jonathan, I've just updated, with the log showing, "Start-Date: 2021-12-15 17:05:36 Commandline: packagekit role='update-packages' Upgrade: kdepim-runtime:amd64 (4:21.12.0-0xneon+20.04+focal+release+build57, 4:21.12.0-0xneon+20.04+focal+release+build58) End-Date: 2021-12-15 17:05:42" My IONOS email account is now working OK. However, my BT email account is still failing, with the message, "Unable to login to the server "mail.btinternet.com". Login via SASL(LOGIN) failed. The server may not support LOGIN,or the password may be wrong. Could not send to server." I've tried selecting 'Clear text', 'LOGIN' and 'PLAIN' for the 'Configure KMail'.'Receiving'.'Modify'.'Advanced'.'Authentication', but I get the above message just the same, in all three cases. (The password is correct!) Brilliant to have the one email account up and running, but any suggestions regarding the second one gratefully received. Thanks and regards Peter (In reply to Jonathan Riddell from comment #4) > New build is in, let me know how it goes Just downloaded the update, rebooted. Now receiving POP3 emails without any issues. Thanks Jonathan, much appreciated. Nick Jonathan, This morning my BT POP email is working too. Can't explain why it appeared to not be working last night. I'd like to add my thanks and appreciation for resolving this issue so quickly. Peter |
