Hi, You don't need link support to append new collections. Just add the new entry in Setup dialog and that all. If you want to searchon whole database the collections will processed at the same time. You can also search in specific collection of course. Adding link support will increase complexity of the application. Links in Windows are different and more complex than Linux/Mac symbolic links, especially with the junction feature. Also, by experience in my office, the Windows link used between accounts on NTFS is problematic and require specific admin rights to be used in client application as digiKam. We don't want to require admin rights to install the application under Windows, as this will require a Windows Store deployment/validation, and of course we need to pay for that...
