Also, I just noticed (and it partially shows in the screenshots as well) that when mounted with ntfs3, links are not resolved as Linux paths but stay in their original Windows form. In this case, with the partition mounted on /mnt, the "Documents and Settings" link points to '/mnt/Users' when mounted with ntfs-3g, but to 'C:\Users' when mounted with ntfs3. This could have to do not with KDE but with the implementation of the ntfs3 driver or with its integration with udisks2/libmount, and it belongs in a bug report of its own anyway, but I just thought I'd mention it here as well.
