Usually the app crashes when I select words individually in the program's text editor.

Application: kdenlive (20.12.3)

Qt Version: 5.15.2
Frameworks Version: 5.80.0

Usually the app crashes when I select words individually in the program's text editor. Something similar happens with Libre Office, however, in this last example, it happens more when I paste some text into the application.

I don't remember doing any custom customization in any of the mentioned apps.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

This looks like a QT setup issue. Please try with the AppImage to see if this is a setup problem. https://kdenlive.org/en/download/
