If it is, please add a comment with the output of `kscreen-doctor -o` and change the status to CONFIRMED. Maybe I can give more information on this. I found out that it's not a reboot or wake up from sleep. The resolution reverts back to 640x480 if I wake up any computer with the monitor off or in powersafe mode. Then the resolution is at 640... all windows sizes and positions are a mess bc of the resolution change. If I switch the monitor manually on (it's independent which input is enabled) before I wake up the computer, Plasma starts in the right resolution (5120x1440).
