Once Dolphin or Kate have run for the first time and the menu has been displayed with Ctl-M, the problem does not recur. But for someone running Kate or Dolphin for the first time, the lack of a menu is very disconcerting since it isn't obvious what to do about it. The repair is obvious and probably very easy; make sure these programs open up in the correct state the first time they are run. Other KDE programs might have the same problem. |
