Same here, Operating System: NixOS 23.11 KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.6 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.108.0 Qt Version: 5.15.9 Kernel Version: 6.4.3 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Also, discussed here: https://www.reddit.com/r/kde/comments/yy4snw/akonadikmail_opens_a_gmail_login_page_when_adding/?rdt=39337 Just adding a bit of context: Yahoo-mail used to be accessible to Kmail and other third party apps though an app password. It has been described several times lately that this method might not work any more. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook_com/forum/all/when-i-try-to-generate-an-app-password-in-yahoo-i/99f61c31-8c33-4995-bab6-245e95f96230 ("this service is temporarily unavailable") However yahoo-mail can also be accessed with OAuth method, and Microsoft has tagged the above issue as "fixed" by making the shift to OAuth: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/how-to-add-a-yahoo-imap-account-to-outlook-desktop-without-an-app-password-d13fb02d-eb93-4775-bae9-0e54bf2f5bca ("status: fixed") So I guess Kmail linking to Gmail OAuth page when trying to setup a yahoo-mail account is totally the smart move. Maybe if it were linking to Yahoo OAuth page it would work even better. Following on @Manny, this bug is duplicate of bug 455113 and bug 462042 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 457233 *** |
