Desktop Cube Settings - Shows Solid Color and Wallpaper
Zooming in on the actual effect options being used. Wanted to add this attachment when filing the issue, but the system would only let me add one.

Created attachment 142551 [details] Desktop Cube Effect - Missing Background SUMMARY Under Settings, the Desktop Effects option has a Desktop Cube entry. In that entry there's a Background section where you can configure a "Background color" or a "Wallpaper", so that they're displayed when your camera moves back to look at the desktop cube or sphere effects. Neither of the two options is working. As seen in the attached screenshots, the background is always black. Neither the solid background color nor the actual wallpaper gets displayed. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Go to Settings -> Desktop Effects -> Desktop Cube; 2. Set the Background options (i.e., solid color and/or wallpaper); 3. Apply the changes and press Ctrl+F11 to get the 3D cube. OBSERVED RESULT The background is a black screen - i.e., neither the solid color nor the wallpaper show up. EXPECTED RESULT If a picture for the wallpaper is set, then the wallpaper should show up in the background of the 3D cube. Otherwise, if no wallpaper is set, then the solid color should be displayed instead. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Kubuntu 21.10 KDE Plasma Version: 5.22.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.86.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I first noticed this under 21.04. I waited until 21.10 release to see if it would get fixed, but it didn't.
