The face recognition process is still running if the focus problem occurs in the view? Maik Good question, let me check. Ok, I checked. Basically it takes you to the last selected picture from that person. For instance, if you select a picture in the Tags panel, and a specific person is in it, when you then go to People panel and select that person, it will take you directly to the face in that picture. Which in other cases is fine, but for face recognition it would be better show the suggestions first (if there are). Sorry, I forgot to answer, that is regardless whether the face recognition is running or has already finished. @MarcP digiKam 8.0.0 is out. This entry still valid with this release ? If previously a picture from that person had been selected, when clicking on the person on the People panel, the focus will go to that selected picture instead of going to the top if there are new suggestions. digiKam 8.5.0 is out with many improvements in face detection and recognition. After confirming a face, the focus seems to go to a previously selected item, and you need to manually scroll up to the top every time. Hi Marc, We've made some changes to how UI adjusts focus after confirming a face. Would you be willing to download the daily build of 8.6.0 from https://files.kde.org/digikam and see if the issue is fixed for you? It's quite annoying, because when you are in the suggestions section of the face, confirm a suggestion, then the focus changes to a previously selected picture for that person, so that means you need to manually scroll up and find where you left off, for every single face you tag. can also confirm this issue is still valid |
