That's weird, cannot reproduce. This is on Wayland, right?

Yes wayland, I also tried to install Plasma 5.22.90 on Tumbleweed, to understand if it was a Leap problem, but also in Tumbleweed same behavior.
Basically the animation only works if there is nothing open in that virtual desktop. A greeting.

Aha, virtual desktops. Does it work as expected if you have only one virtual desktop?

No, it doesn't seem related, even with just one desktop the problem remains.
However I tried to reset all the settings and I noticed that now it works every now and then, but random.

However, the problem persists, I have seen that some on Reddit have already reported it.
Some claim they have this problem on Xorg, but I can't confirm it.

I was the OP of that comment. Just for the record: the bug happens and is reproducible on my system.
Comment 7 carlo 2021-11-15 22:50:13 UTC
Since the bug is still present on 5.23.3 I changed the version as 5.22.90 was a beta version.
I hope it goes well.

Still cannot reproduce in current git master (which will soon be Plasma 5.24).

I am testing Plasma 5.24 (5.23.90) beta in Tumbleweed and I no longer have this problem.
