I think that many people would purchase this from the Samsung store (I have seen much chatter). Samsung has a similar app called Samsung Flow. However, it is limited to Windows and Samsung android devices.

The API/SDK and merchandising instructions seem to be well documented: https://developer.samsung.com/galaxy-watch-develop

The watch itself is a fabulous device. You can connect the watch to the computer by bluetooth but it cannot do anything.

I forgot to mention that the OS is Tizen which is Linux-based
