SUMMARY
Unable to open Grouped items in Preview window / Show All Grouped Items As Open menu is not selected.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Preview view/ Show All Grouped Items As Open menu is not selected.
2. The grouped items icon does not show the number of items in the group.
3. 

OBSERVED RESULT
When you click on Preview grouped items, the group items are not visible.

EXPECTED RESULT
Grouped items can be opened in Preview view.

Yes this is normal. The simple thumbbar has no way of opening the group, nor does it have a context menu (bug report with wish already exists). There is also no space for the icon to open a group. You can open the groups via the view menu. We do not currently intend to provide the simple thumbbar for selecting the preview with a context menu.
