I can confirm the bug. See attached recordings and rendering: * wipe_test - done in kdenlive 21.04 installed via pamac * wipe_test2 - done in kdenlive 21.07 appimage SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Garuda Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.21.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.82.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 Kernel Version: 5.12.5-zen1-1-zen OS Type: 64-bit Graphics Platform: X11 Processors: 16 x AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Eight-Core Processor Memory: 31.4 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: MNVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070/PCIe/SSE2 Created attachment 138656 [details]

I tested with a PNG and JPG under Windows and with the AppImage 21.04.1 (Lubuntu 20.04). The render works as expected with the wipe effect. Do you have any special settings (GPU enabled?). Before you start the AppImage delete following file: ~/.config/kdenlive-appimagerc (see here https://community.kde.org/Kdenlive/Configuration). Can confirm that issue is *not* present with appimage of 21.04.1 under Garuda Linux. If the AppImage is working fine then it's definitely a packaging issue we cannot fix. Please reach out to the distributor of the package. I close this bug because of the downstream issue. If it still appears in the latest version, please feel free to re-open it and update the affected version number.
