No, we will not delete the database when digiKam is uninstalled. Other users don't want to lose the database when they upgrade to a newer version. You haven't written anything about your system. Windows, Linux or MacOS? Which database type do you use, SQLite or MySQL internal or external? May I also ask why you want to use an old digiKam version with known bugs and not a newer version?
