Please try with the current Kdenlive AppImage version 21.04.0 to see if there are any packaging issues https://download.kde.org/stable/kdenlive/21.04/linux/ If the problem/issue doesn't occur when using the AppImage, then it's your configuration or packaging. Created attachment 138049 [details]

the issue is still here (in appimage too)
What do you want is extract zone. Set in/out on the clip monitor -> right click -> extract zone. This generates a new clip as long as the in/out is set. (In reply to emohr from comment #3) > What do you want is extract zone. Set in/out on the clip monitor -> right > click -> extract zone. This generates a new clip as long as the in/out is > set. NO! i want save part of my clip to project bin!! extract zone is just weird useless thing instead of industrial standard - ripple delete(left/right), which is still missing in KDEnlive, but this is subject for another bug report *save not from Clip Monitor, but TIMELINE Yes, this is possible. Set in/out in the timeline -> right click on the clip -> Save timeline zone to bin. With shift+x you extract the clip and the gab gets closed. (In reply to emohr from comment #6) > Yes, this is possible. Set in/out in the timeline -> right click on the clip > -> Save timeline zone to bin. With shift+x you extract the clip and the gab > gets closed. made a video for you ~____~ https://disk.yandex.ru/d/YXAEG1m4zxAoMQ Unfortunately the video doesn’t start. (In reply to emohr from comment #8) > Unfortunately the video doesn’t start. turn off ad block or track block (it's yandex, you can trust) Now it's clear. "Save timeline zone to the bin" doesn't work anymore. As you said in first comment, it takes the whole clip lenght instead between IN/OUT point. would be nice to have this feature back or rename it at least, so much confusing.. Thanks for the report and sorry for the late answer! I investigated in the source code and commit history. Based on this I can tell that the current behavior is correct (referring to the initial intention), but the name is indeed very confusing. Git commit 74b819f6b1c634fd5010e0ef0eaeb52e51212ece by Julius Künzel. Committed on 04/02/2022 at 22:26. Pushed by jlskuz into branch 'master'. Fix action name: "Save Timeline Zone to Bin" is not what it does M +1 -1 src/mainwindow.cpp https://invent.kde.org/multimedia/kdenlive/commit/74b819f6b1c634fd5010e0ef0eaeb52e51212ece |
