Please try to uninstall Kdenlive completely and reinstall the new version afterwards. Please make also sure that "dbus-daemon.exe" is not running. Does that solve your problem? I also ran into this. I got it working by following these steps: 1) Uninstall 20.12.3 2) Remove/Rename the folder C:\program files\kdenlive 3) Install 21.04 4) Launch Thanks! After uninstalling 20.12.3 and then install 21.04.0 instead of use the 21.04.0 installer to upgrade, it's able to launch now. It still shows the reset configuration dialog but after that, the program can run! I just notice on the download page from kdenlive.org it says "Windows: Uninstall old version. Then install version 21.04.0.", I probably missed this notice while I download at the first time. Sorry about that. I'll change the status to resolve then.
