The default window size is quite small on Linux too. Probably hasn't been updated in years and years, despite screen resolutions getting larger overall. In general setting a large default size isn't a problem for resizable windows as the window will simply be maximized by the window manager if it's too big for the screen. It also just sets first impressions for the app when it appears more polished. I think it would be logical to match similar defaults to what leading commercial apps are doing with window sizes. |
