Thank you for reporting. I can confirm this issue on Windows following your steps. The png file will not be saved if you have opened a symlink folder (neither an error appears). Tested with 25.12.1 on Windows 11 25H2: The symlink to another directory is now shown as a "normal" directory with a ".lnk" extension. I can open it, all sub-directories are shown, but have a red lock icon. Created attachment 188942 [details]

And to be clear: It's not a permission problem. My user can open those directories in Windows Explorer (but not via the Save Dialog in Kdenlive). Does the symlink happen to be pointing to directory on a network drive in this case, BTW ? (if so that could be related to https://bugs.kde.org/493805 which is a current limitation for kdenlive to reference assets that exist on a network share) No, tested with local directories only. |
