Screenshot of KStars in Plasma 5.20.90

Just got the 5.21 beta (5.20.90) and the display of the KStars toolbar is a mess now. See attached screenshot

What widget theme/application style are you using? It doesn't look like Breeze to me. If you are using the Breeze widget theme/application style, the fact that the toolbar and menubar have different colors, and the fact that the toolbutton icons are not using the correct colors, tells me that this is most likely an issue in the app itself rather than a problem in Breeze. It's possible that the issue was always there and Breeze changes simple exposed them more visible.

I am using standard Breeze. Kstars always was darker even if you had a light theme.

KStars looked fine before the 5.21 beta and this change has most likely been caused by the "tools area". A foolish design decision IMO which intrudes on many apps (LibreOffice also looks terrible now) and onlt affects one theme.

To clarify, this problem occurs when colours are set to the now default "Breeze Light". If I change the colours back to "Breeze" the problem disappears in KStars.

The horrible line under the menu in LibreOffice also disappears with "Breeze" colours and generally I think looks better.

Seems to be fixed with the fix to Bug 438589.
