Description Stephan Brunner 2021-01-09 20:12:16 UTC
FILELIGHT VERSION: 20.12.1 (I couldn't select it in the list above.

SUMMARY
When scanning a directory, there is a animated pie chart with a file count and file size counter.
When hitting rescan, said file size counter is not reset to zero, hence making it count beyond the actual file system size.
The final counter in the final pie chart always shows a correct size.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
0. Open fresh instance of Filelight
1. Scan a directory. Observe that the file size counter whilst scanning starts from zero
2. Hit rescan
3. Observe that the file size counter whilst scanning does not start from zero

OBSERVED RESULT
Counter is not reset to zero when hitting rescan.

EXPECTED RESULT
Counter should start from zero.

I can't seem to reproduce this. I tried on several sized folders and the count is always blanked out and then redrawn once the count is complete.

Video attached.

Actually, you reproduced it.

The selected folder is ~11GB large.
However, when rescanning, your counter in the video starts at ~105GB.
Stop at 0:06 while the rescan is running.
