They get moved to the trash on the local disk. This was broken until recently but was fixed in Frameworks 5.75 (See Bug 76380). So now they should be copied to local disk's trash rather than being copied to another disk's trash. This is the expected, intended behavior. Are you using Frameworks 5.75 or later and still seeing that files are being copied to another disk's trash?
