Perform a re-read of the metadata from the relevant images via Menu-> Item. The problem has already been reported on Windows. Which anti virus program do you use? Please upload sample images and no screenshots so that we can check it.

Comment 3 Maik Qualmann 2020-10-31 18:47:43 UTC
The location icon is displayed here for the sample image. We suspect that the images were locked by another process when they were imported. Either anti-virus programs or Windows Explorer as an example. As a result, the metadata is not completely read during the first scan. Do a re-read of the metadata.

Thanks for the reply. I am brand new to digikam and coming from Picasa.
I love it so far, however this GPS feature is super important to me.

I pushed F5 and the thumbnails where rebuild. Same issue.

The strange thing is that it only happens to some pix. There must be something different...

Thanks for the help!
