I also have this problem. For example after closing other buffer, I cannot save current one, because toolbar icon is missing. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 426605 *** |
Created attachment 132400 [details] Watch Kate menu items vanish just by opening and closing buffers. SUMMARY Sometimes Kate's UI changes and menu items vanish when there's only one buffer open. This behavior makes no sense. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Kate normally. One new buffer is automatically started. Check the Edit and View menus to see if they contain the expected content. Check the toolbar to see that it has the correct buttons. 2. Open a new buffer with the "New" button. Check the menus and toolbar as before. 3. Close the first buffer. Check the menus and toolbar as before. 4. Either now or if you repeat these steps from step 2 you'll see what I show in the attached movie. OBSERVED RESULT Menu items vanish, toolbar radically changes removing much needed functionality all for no apparent reason. EXPECTED RESULT The UI remains consistently full of functionality so long as there is at least one buffer open.
