I can't replicate this on git master. Grósz can you please ensure you have all packages on your system up to date and retest. Still happens on Kate 20.08.2, KDE Frameworks 5.75.0, Qt 5.15.1 (built against 5.15.1), X11. However, it only happens if you enable 'Warn about files modified by foreign processes' in Configure... / General / Behavior, so that the warning pops up in a separate dialog window. (Actually, the name of that feature is a bit misleading, as it warns about modified files either way, just if it's unchecked, it only warns when you switch to a given file.) Thanks for the update; changing status. I've tested with the above setting enabled and the popup window comes up and my mouse cursor is once again visible and stays that way. Are you using a particular cursor theme? I'm using the default Breeze theme. I'm setting status to "needsinfo" pending your response, please change back to "reported" or "resolved" when you respond, thanks.
