While calculating the resulting tar size would be quite difficult it should not fail without an error. Confirmed on openSUSE Tumbleweed. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 393959 *** bug 393959 is fixed but this one persists with Ark 22.08.1. The compression starts and then a notification falsely says 'Compressing a file (Finished)' when the it is aborted due to lack of space. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.25.90 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.98.0 Qt Version: 5.15.6 Graphics Platform: Wayland Well, bug 393959 is fixed when I extract an archive via context menu of Dolphin, but it persists when I extract directly with Ark. Ark should check if there is suffcient free space in the destination regardless the way used to create an archive. |
