Sorry, but this is clearly not a critical bug, so I'm downgrading to normal. Please attach a sample file that Krita cannot loadto this bug report; without that we cannot do anything. hi, we cannot do anything without a file to test with. Do you have such a file? Created attachment 131940 [details]

I uploaded a hot photo I just took.
Are you using the Krita binary from Deepin? Or did you compile Krita from source? It looks like Deepin's Krita is outdated (4.0.3) [1], so HEIF/HEIC is not supported. If you compile Krita yourself, please make sure you have libheif installed during compilation. [1] http://ftp.ubuntu-tw.org/mirror/deepin/pool/main/k/krita/ Thanks for your comment! Automatically switching the status of this bug to REPORTED so that the KDE team knows that the bug is ready to get confirmed. In the future you may also do this yourself when providing needed information. Or please test using the latest beta (https://krita.org/en/item/first-beta-out-for-krita-4-4/) -- there is an appimage that should work on your linux system. I just checked, and the test file opens fine with that. (In reply to 2wxsy58236r3 from comment #4) > Are you using the Krita binary from Deepin? It was installed with the following command. flatpak install flathub org.kde.krita Can you read the files I uploaded?
