In this case - I accessed it just fine and there is only link to download drivers from https://developers.hp.com/hp-linux-imaging-and-printing/ Yes, some people have been so mean and greedy. They fail to see the bug picture and subsequently suffer from their ignorance. Software engineers have a better understanding of the world I believe. It says someone has set permissions. Good to know there is a Maksym Hazevych responding to it. Thanks for the report. Did you get the device to work? It seems that the device supports two scanning protocols and when the sane library searches for scanners it finds both and does not know that it is the same device. The first is a "new" standard network scanning protocol and the second is a HP specific protocol. I would be interested in getting debug messages in case you have not gotten it to work. Especially if you still get the invalid argument error message. In that case, could you run Skanlite from the command line with debugging enabled? SANE_DEBUG_HPAIO=16 skanlite And then post the output here. If the output does not seem to provide anything specific to the error you could increase the number and see if that would give more info. Actually as mentioned by one of the maintainers one actual device is viewed by two different protocols each with different capabilities. So it's working now?
