kmail 5.7.3 is too old. It seems to work here (kmail 5.15.1) Please test with new version and reopen it Thanks i can confirm the problem is also solved in kmail 5.13.3. i do agree that 5.7.3 is pretty old. however, users of widely used distros like kubuntu 18.04 LTS will continue to run KDE plasma 5.12 LTS and older versions of kontact for some more years, so it is probably still worth backporting the patch. that is because storing outgoing mail on a wrong IMAP server can quickly become a serious privacy issue (GDPR), especially if it happens unnoticed. Now that you confirmed the issue is fixed, please open a bug report for your distribution to backport fixes (if possible). |
