By simple editing of the keyboard shortcuts, you can reassign 'Set eraser mode' to Shift+X and then, after assigning an eraser brush preset to number-n in the ten brushes script, you can reassign its shortcut from Ctrl+Alt+n to the E key. The facility is there, waiting to be used. I much prefer it in the way I suggested in this wishlist report. Like I said, I don't want to rely on the 10 brush scripts. Think of my suggestion as the need of a second pointer that will only target eraser brush types. Selecting a non-eraser brushes will automatically switch to the paint brush pointer. Which means that, pressing E again will remember the last Eraser brush selected with all its settings as well. This one is better in my opinion. |
