Why would you like a notification? We go out of our way to make the visual transition so smooth that you don't notice it; adding a notification would kind of defeat the purpose of making this invisible. I think it would be useful. I don't have a specific need but sometimes I'm working with banner printing and the colors change without me noticing and only then I saw that it was the night light that was activated automatically. This smooth transition is really a great job well done but I think an option to notify about this change would also be useful.
