This is likely a duplicate to Bug 422336 - kmail: the access and reading of the received messages is often very slow in combination with Bug 334209 - synchronizes folder contents during runtime needlessly and Bug 334216 - synchronizes folder with filesystem after downloading and filtering mails needlessly Means: It did this needless synchronization before, bug before the performance regression in Akonadi 5.14.1 (aka 20.04) it was much quicker and thus did not block out KMail so long. (In reply to Martin Steigerwald from comment #1) > Means: It did this needless synchronization before, bug before the but > performance regression in Akonadi 5.14.1 (aka 20.04) it was much quicker and > thus did not block out KMail so long. Hi All, meanwhile the situation has been improved and kmail appears to work normally again here. I cannot provide much further information, beside that i'm running sid and only some library material has been updated. From my side, the report can be closed. Thanks Lars Lars, okay. I believe the "does a full rescan" issue is still there, but that like with bug #422336 with Qt 5.14 that "full rescan" is much faster again. Anyway, closing on your request. |
