Hi, I was wondering if «It seems also that Ktouch doesn't support […] other characters such as "…" or non no-break space» may be because those characters are missing in the original text from the exercise. You can check it out by clicking on the second option in the configuration wheel/menu on the upper right corner of the screen. It says something like «Course and keyboard layout editor...» There you'll be able to find your course and exercise. Then you tan copy the text and check it in a text editor. Or you may be referring to those keys not being able to get inserted in ktouch. If that is the case, then we have another problem, possibly not completely related to dead keys. As far as I can tell (I've never written with BÉPO) you insert those characters by pressing Shift and/or AltGr + some specific key, don't you? I tested it on ktouch and I can insert these kind of characters (i.e. @, æ, Æ, «, », €, µ, etc.), I mean the issue I experience is only related to dead keys. Please check also bug https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=410876 where the dead keys issue is being discussed. |
