ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
the DVD is inserted automatically also when auto-mounting option is checked;
to eject properly the optical media is necessary to ends the session or to lock it;
the issue doesn't randomly occur when the optical drive is opened by physical button, unlike it occurs when by eject icons;
the problem probably deals with UDEV, or other kind of operating system protocol features applied entering it;
the problem never happens going out from the session or locking it.

is auto-mounting feature working on your system?

On my system removable devices (tested DVD and pendrive) are never mounted
at login or when attached despite "Enable automatic mounting of removable media",
"Automatically mount all removable media at login" and "Automatically mount all removable media when attached" options are checked in Removable Devices kcm.

Never mind. Auto-mounting works for me after reboot.
