Same thing here, but on different distribution. I also noticed that when I hover all programs in the task list everything is fine, except for web browser I use (which is Vivaldi with ~150 tabs open). In this case terminal, from which i restarted plasmashell, spits an error like this: file:///usr/share/plasma/plasmoids/org.kde.plasma.taskmanager/contents/ui/ToolTipInstance.qml:209:9: QML Image: Error decoding: https://i.ytimg.com/vi/xPU8OAjjS4k/hqdefault.jpg?sqp=-oaymwEZCNACELwBSFXyq4qpAwsIARUAAIhCGAFwAQ==&rs=AOn4CLAAKevt0iZpZymPcHIJLkP_craJ4w: Unsupported image format The link is always to a picture preview for the last watched video on YouTube. Another thing is that plasmashell after about a week grows in memory usage from ~200Mb to ~1000Mb. Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.0 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.90.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 Kernel Version: 5.16.8-xanmod1-1 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 12 × AMD Ryzen 5 1600 Six-Core Processor Memory: 15.6 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070/PCIe/SSE2 I have the same problem as Marcelo Bossoni, it has only started with me after switching to Wayland. I see a lot of bug reports and don't know if it has already been fixed in newer versions but it certainly doesn't work on my current version. Operating System: Manjaro KDE KDE Plasma Version: 5.23.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.90.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 Kernel Version: 5.15.21-1 Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 12 × AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core Processor Memory: 15.6 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon RX 5700XT Same issue. @Lastique @Pavel are you both on Wayland? I had birdtray configured to blink when there was new email and suspected it to be the reason, so I disabled it. Haven't encountered this issue for about half a year now (maybe it just got fixed). I'm also on X11. The problem hasn't appeared for quite a while for me (probably, through Kubuntu 21.10 and 22.04, I can't remember before 21.10). Though I try not to touch plasma too much. Does the issue go away if you disable "small previews" shown when hovering over tasks? If so, this is Bug 469016. (In reply to Nate Graham from comment #9) > Does the issue go away if you disable "small previews" shown when hovering > over tasks? If so, this is Bug 469016. To reiterate I'm *not* using Wayland, and that bug seems to be about Wayland. Please consider this bug focused on X11. I do have window previews enabled, but I haven't seen this bug for quite a while (currently, I'm on Kubuntu 22.04). I'm not sure how to trigger this bug at this point. Ok, thanks. If you can't reproduce it, and no one else can reproduce it either, than I'm afraid it's not actionable. :( So I'm going to close this as RESOLVED WORKSFORME now, but please do feel free to re-open it if you're able to reproduce it again--especially if you find a reliable way to do so. Thanks a lot! |
