Thank you for reporting. Could you check this issue https://invent.kde.org/kde/kdenlive/-/issues/122 and let me know if it's similar to your issue. Do you use a coma or dot as decimal separator in your country? It could be while Kdenlive makes a backup saving it crashes. Make following test: Set only 1 or 2 keyframe -> wait 20 seconds -> does it crash? With the version 20.08 the coma point issue should be solved. With the version 20.12 the effects are checked and updated.
