Go to Settings -> Configure Krita -> Display -> Canvas Acceleration and there set the Renderer from OpenGL to Angle (or vice versa). Then restart Krita. Does that help? That might not be possible on 32 bits Windows 7 -- I'm not sure whether there's the right version of directx for Windows 7 to make Angle work. Btw, note that we no longer support Windows 7, the minimum we support in Windows 8.1 (and even that gets trickier all the time). Created attachment 127088 [details] attachment-21002-0.html I gave that a try and also the filtering options and got it to work. It does, however, cause some slight lagging so I've decided sadly to revert back to the older version. Thank you anyway for your help and time. That's curious, because there were no changes to the opengl canvas that I know of between 4.2.8 and 4.2.9... Created attachment 127091 [details] attachment-22895-0.html It does seem odd.
