Observed result: pop-up message: "Error copying file to device" To what type of file system are you trying to save the backup? Do you need to mount it first? Is it a local hard drive or a network share or a Google Drive? This is important for which other libraries are needed to support the write. Merci d’avance, Cordialement, G. Thank you for helping us make KDE software even better for everyone! Changing status to reported. Did you try to use a newer version? You can get one from https://binary-factory.kde.org/job/KMyMoney_Release_win64/ which represents the head of the 5.0 stable branch currently at 5.0.8 plus fixes. Does the problem persist when you use that version? Created attachment 126922 [details] attachment-11933-0.html Morning, This morning, I have tried the last 5.0.8 version, picked up on « Windows MSVC 64 bit » repertory, file : kmymoney-master-707-windows-msvc2017_64-cl.exe The bug is still present. If I check the box « monter le disque avant… » (ie the English translation in 5.0.8…), the system Windows crashes (no respons, user and windows in waiting state…). I’m using the 5.0.6 version again, due to lack on french translation for 5.0.8. It ‘s more easy for my family, not so fluent in English… Thank you for your interest in this case. Best regards. G. Does the problem persist when you use that version? Thomas - might this be the same as bug 419082? Gille - is there a leading slash "/" at the beginning of the path to the backup file location? If so, try removing that slash and see if the backup works. Do not check the "mount" checkbox, as this option does not actually work on Windows. Created attachment 126960 [details] attachment-5515-0.html Morning ! YOU ARE RIGHT !!! Without the « / » leading slash in the beginning of the backup path, all types of « save » are OK (on the PC local HD, on my Google drive account disk, and on my « pCloud » network disc.) Thank you (a lot !) for your idea. For you and all the KMM Team !
