Screenshoft of the left panel of Kaidan, which only has a fixed width.

Currently a panel, like the "Contacts" panel in the Kirigami app "Kaidan" [1] is not resizeable in width, which is needed to enhance the UX.

Discover had the same problem. We ended up simply hardcoding a narrower width. :/

This seems like something that really needs to be fixed in Kirigami so apps don't need to do stuff like that. Perhaps the drawer should set its width automatically to the width of the widest item. Or it could be manually resizable.
