SUMMARY

Currently it is not only possible to set the temperature. 

However due to the big steps of the brightness dimming of the screen (on laptops), bright backgrounds are still very bright at the lowest level before the screen completely turns black. This strains the eyes at night and keeps one awake.

Redshift control has the neat option to additionally set a dimming level, which is very convenient.
