SUMMARY

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. I am using two vanishing points and one parallel ruler, to setup 2pt. perspective
2. I do a sketch
3. Then i zoom in and with snapping in pen tool enabled, using pen pressure enabled brush, i draw something with ~150% zoom, the brush works fine.
4. After zooming further to draw details, whenever beyond ~200-250% of zoom, the brush pressure starts to not register properly.
5. Zooming to close decreases pressure registration to the point, where 10px sized brush has problems with leaving any marks on canvas.

OBSERVED RESULT
Little to no pen pressure detected, ergo no marks on canvas

EXPECTED RESULT
Normal pressure curve, drawing properly using pen tool and assistants while zoomed in.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows:
macOS:
Windows 10 pro
Krita versions tested: from 4.1 to 4.2.7
High DPI support is enabled
Touch canvas rotation is disabled
Touch canvas panning is enabled

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Thinkpad X1 tablet gen 3. (8650V pro variant)
Matte screen protector for some pen grip
Both levnovo pro pen 1 and Waccom bamboo ink plus are affected

I'm not seeing this with 4.2.7.1 on Linux or Windows.

The only thing I notice is that if the Magnetism is set to the maximum value, I have to move the cursor about 10 pixels away from the start point before the line starts to be drawn along the assistant guide line. Opacity variation with pressure works ok at all zoom levels.

This is with a Wacom Draw tablet.

Hi, soldiumek!

Could you please make a screen recording of the problem? I have followed your steps and couldn't reproduce any problem. The only thing that I could see is 2px delay between the start of the painting, which is the threshold for selecting the assistant that is going to be followed.

PS:
Just a wild guess, perhaps you had a Brush Stabilizer mode active and had "Scalable Distance" checkbox activated? It could cause some weird behavior in Krita before Krita 4.3. Could you test it with Krita 4.3 release?

PPS:
I'll mark the bug as needs-info for now.
