Works here (KWin/X11 on current Tumbleweed). Could you please add the outpuf of qdbus org.kde.KWin /KWin supportInformation I think the problem was that I selected GLX for rendering but the graphics card driver does not support it. I believe it should work with XRENDER on that machine. There are quite severe problems with Xorg when running KDE: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=112185. You can use XRENDER but it will still crash the machine on the logout dialogue.
