Works for me on: Operating System: Manjaro Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.17.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.65.0 Qt Version: 5.13.2 This issue disappeared for me a few weeks ago and I am unsure what fixed it because I reinstalled kubuntu-desktop, reinstalled nvidia drivers and updated kate. |
SUMMARY Previous versions of Kate used to allow me to save changes to root files with a password prompt. The prompt no longer appears and the application freezes when attempting to save. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open a root file in Kate 2. Make a change to the file 3. Save the file OBSERVED RESULT The program will freeze and must be cancelled through a system monitor.
