See also forum post: https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=309&t=161761 I have read the thread. No this is a Neon package problem. The media player support is enabled by default in digiKam. FFmpeg and QtAV are needed. Maik *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 376061 *** If the neon package do not work, use the AppImage bundle instead that we provide with QtAv support... https://download.kde.org/stable/digikam/6.2.0/ Gilles Caulier Yes, I am using the AppImage now. But you do know that that is not a long-term solution? Automatic and easy updates are a core feature in Linux, AppImages defy that behaviour. Should I report this against KDE Neon somewhere? Isn't there some communication within KDE to resolve such problems? A long term solution. Seriously for each digiKam release we provide immediately an AppImage bundle... how long distro Linux update digiKam package ???? Anyway, Neon has a section in bugzilla |
