this issue persists with neon unstable at least. This issue is present also with Kubuntu 22.04 Thank you for your bug report! However this bug report was created/provided previous to 01/01/2023 and also has not received any updates since before 01/01/2025. Unfortunately KDE neon no longer provides updates for anything older than noble 24.04 based edition's. Please upgrade to KDE neon noble and if you can reproduce the issue after upgrading to an active version, feel free to re-open this bug report. Thanks for understanding! This issue is now present also with Kubuntu 25.04 Maybe the bug can be moved to a better place. I tried, but it asked questions I could not answer. This isn't a Plasma issue. It's either a distro issue, or, more likely, an installer issue. If you can still reproduce the issue with a *new* installation of KDE neon with those steps, please open a terminal window, run `env | grep -iE "LANG|LC" ` and paste the output in a new comment here. 🐛🧹 ⚠️ This bug has been in NEEDSINFO status with no change for at least 15 days. Created attachment 121223 [details] Login Date Language screenshot Language/Region settings do not relate to the choices set in the installer Version: KDE Neon 5.16.2 User Edition 64bit Follwo these steps: Start a new Install and enter the following choices - Please choose a language for this computer: English - Keyboard Layout: English UK - Region: Europe - Time Zone: Germany After install restart and 1) See the Login Screen has the date in German. Not OK!(see screenshot 1) 2) Then check Regional Settings are not OK: (see screenshot 2) - Languages: None set (OK) - Formats: Region: United States En_US (Not OK) - Numbers, Time, Currency, Units: Deutschland (Not OK) - Spell Check: American English (Not OK) Then change all settings to English and UK Then restart and see the Login Screen Date language is still in German. Not OK! No solution was found to correct the Login date language. Expectation 1) Login Date Language should be correct to user settings. No workaround!! 2) Settings should relate to user choices during installation. Workaround is edit them after.
